Through our partnerships with local secondary schools and the Havering Teacher Training Partnership (HTTP) we work collaboratively to provide Initial Teacher Training, recruiting trainee teachers to secondary schools. Trainees are developed through the Empower model of career long CPD to become outstanding teachers. Trainees enter the partnership via the School Direct or School Centred Initial Teacher Training (SCITT) routes. Both routes are accredited by the University of East London, meaning that graduates of Empower’s I.T.T. courses gain a Post Graduate Certificate of Education (P.G.C.E.) worth 60 Masters Level Credits, as well as achieving Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Our teachers graduate equipped with the skills to enter the classroom as effective, confident and highly motivated professionals.
