Empower provides career long, holistic professional development, supporting colleagues in becoming the best that they can be via a range of programmes including structured support and coaching for newly qualified (NQT) colleagues during their induction year. This is followed by a development programme for recently qualified and improving teachers offering further support to colleagues as they gain confidence and skill and become accomplished classroom practitioners.
In partnership with the Institute for Education, we deliver training for middle and senior leaders. We aim to support colleagues in developing the leadership skills necessary to become effective leaders. This enables us to “grow our own” and support colleagues in developing their career from trainee teacher to senior leader.
The Alliance is also looking to provide training courses for leaders with some experience who wish to update their knowledge, skills and understanding. These will be added to our website soon.
